<span style="color: #424242; font-family: Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 16px; -webkit-border-horizontal-spacing: 5px; -webkit-border-vertical-spacing: 5px" class="Apple-style-span">ENG: The cca 1.1 ha pond was created after the fisherman&rsquo;s demands sometime in the year 1978. The Project was created by Mr. Augustin Skrivan (at the time residing in Vilemov together with Mr. Karel Houska, who was a long term chairman of the local Fisherman&rsquo;s Union). The grounds belonged to the Home Office of Czechoslovakia, because the meadows were already behind the wired fence of the border zone at that time. The same applied to three houses of the so called Perkla. When Mr. Perkl wanted to visit the shops, the soldiers guarding the border zone had to open a gate up at the road and let him back in two hours later when he returned. After the pond was created in 1978, the Home Office has transferred the ownership of the grounds to the Fisherman&rsquo;s Union, which is currently being disputed by the Czech land fund. Throughout the years, the pond became a popular place for layman fishermem, with their annual fish out of the pond. Appart from fish, there are other species of animals like European toads, grass frogs, efts and maybe also salamanders. European teals, ducks and grey herons nest in this location every year, however there are also two rare birds &ndash; the kingfisher and the Eurasian dipper &ndash; that nest in the close wolds by the Vilemov-brook. We shouldn&rsquo;t also forget to mention a little hydroelectric powerplant.</span>
